On November 6th, as part of the Hungarian EU Presidency and based on its priorities, the Hungarian Permanent Delegation, in collaboration with the OECD Economics Department, hosted the workshop "Boosting Competitiveness: Major Challenges and Key Drivers" at the OECD headquarters.

H.E. Mr. László Havas, Permanent Representative of Hungary to the OECD and UNESCO laid a wreath at the symbolic tomb in Père Lachaise dedicated to Imre Nagy and the martyrs of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight.

During UNESCO's 220th Executive Board session, Hungary reaffirmed its commitment to multilateral cooperation, advocating for education, science, culture, water management, and gender equality, while supporting UNESCO's peace and sustainability goals as EU Council President.

The Gazzola Prize was established in 1979 in memory of Piero Gazzola, one of the greatest defenders of the conservation and restoration of historic monuments and sites, and a founder of ICOMOS. The prize is awarded every three years at the General Assembly of ICOMOS to an individual or a group of people who have worked together and contributed with distinction to the aims and objectives of ICOMOS.
