UNESCO, in collaboration with the Barça Foundation, organized the official launch ceremony of the Fit for Life Network Against Racism on December 9, 2024, in Barcelona, as a side event of the 4th UNESCO Global Forum Against Racism and Discrimination.

This network aims to unite high-level athletes and relevant stakeholders to jointly address racism in sports. We are very proud that Hungary is represented in the network by Aida Mohamed, a seven-time Olympic champion fencer.

The ceremony was attended by high-level representatives from UNESCO, the Barça Foundation, and the network's founding members, including renowned athletes, presidents of sports federations, sports organizations, and other stakeholders.

UNESCO was represented by Gabriela Ramos, Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences. Aida Mohamed, a new member of the network, was accompanied by Ambassador László Havas, Hungary's Permanent Representative to the OECD and UNESCO.
